Bonaventure to allow resumption of some activities

The town of Bonaventure has announced a return to normal for activities.

On October 13, the town announced a halt for most sports and leisure activities as well as the closure of most municipal buildings to the public, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the recent stabilization in the number of cases in the area, activities will gradually return to normal. Organized activities for youth as well as the library will be the first activities to restart.

Beginning October 30, minor hockey, swimming, figure skating and athletic clubs, as well as swimming and karate lessons for youth and children will be allowed without spectators.

And on November 4, adult sport and leisure activities will be authorized at the swimming pool, gymnasium and at the Desjardins Recreation Centre.

The mayor of Bonaventure, Roch Audet, is aware that if there is an increase in new COVID cases, activities may have to be halted once again, however he feels that activities can resume safely.
